About Catherine

Hello and welcome to my little review blog. I am your host, Catherine, a twenty-three year old from New Zealand. I am a recent graduate of Victoria University, where I majored in classical studies; for two years, however, my major was archaeology. I eventually tired of sorting out the bird bones from the rat bones and went on to do a one year diploma in web development before returning to complete my BA.

My current goal is to become a published author, and my dream to be able to make my living as a full-time writer. For more information about me, my thoughts, and my writing, feel free to check out my personal blog.

About On The Nightstand

On The Nightstand is one of the many blogs out there dedicated to reviewing books. That’s it: I read books, I write about them, and hopefully people read them.

My favourite genre would be fantasy and right now I prefer YA over adult fiction; however I am open to all sorts of books, so expect a few surprises now and again. My favourite authors include Tamora Pierce, Melissa Marr, JK Rowling, LJ Smith, Sherryl Jordan, Margaret Mahy, Nancy Holder and Neil Gaiman.
